Day 22: Athena graphic novels

A modern reincarnation of Greek mythology starring punk rocker Athena. It's a fabulous series but I gave them to someone I thought would really appreciate them. She made me promise to still post it on here.

Day 20: Imbibe!

Imbibe! tells the story of Jerry Thomas, famous American bartender and author of the first cocktail book. It includes a large selection of classic cocktail recipes and just about every bartender who takes the cocktail craft seriously owns this book. I keep trying to read it but it just isn't holding my attention.

Day 19: Seattle Magazine

Subscriptions to Seattle Magazine are cheap enough that I occasionally cave in and order one. I only care about the food related issues though, so I'm not sure I'm getting my money's worth.

Day 18: Hand Exercise Balls

One has the image of a dragon, the other an image of a phoenix. I have probably owned half a dozen sets of these over the years and each set was used approximately twice.

Day 17: Suicide Circle

This movie was lent to me by a guy in one of my business school classes, in 2002. I know this because the only thing I remember about him was he kept insisting that there was proof that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction because his dad was a high ranking military official and the information had been confirmed by reliable sources. I was firmly against invading Iraq and did not believe the weapons existed so we argued a lot when we should have been working on our group project. I never got around to watching the movie.

Banana Republic suit jacket, size 6P. I wore it exactly once and fell down a hill so there is a small scuff mark. Other than that it is in great condition.

I'm still a sucker for the goth loli style, but my normal taste in clothing can be expensive enough. I can't afford a hobby of clothes I will wear once a year.

Day 14: Ninja Burger

The classic food delivery game where you work for a burger delivery service! No destination is too remote, too secure, or too rugged for this elite team of ninja to penetrate.

It's hard to let go of a game where you get to be a ninja but I think it has been at least four years since my copy was last played.

Spinoff miniseries of Gen¹³ featuring Roxy as a big-eyed, long legged, magical anime girl.

Nope, I have never read Gen¹³. I just thought the art was kinda cool. I only read them once so they are in pretty good condition!

Day 12: Spray Hair Wax

I have a serious lack of hair styling ability so if a hair stylist recommends a product to me I'll usually buy it. Just in case it turns out to be the miracle product that will make everything easy.

This spray wax is great for giving your hair texture and can help you achieve punk rock messy hair. Unfortunately, I always seem to underspray or overspray so I have not had much luck with it but my hair looked fantastic when my stylist used it on me!

Day 11: The Smashing Pumpkins: Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

I feel posting a CD is kind of cheating since I have the option to back it up, but mp3s don't have a physical manifestation in my apartment. At least I only have a handful left at this point! Most of them were sold to the record store for pennies on the dollar.

These pushpins were a gift from one of the families that hosted me on my first trip to Japan. I think they are adorable, but alas I do not own a bulletin board so they just live in the bottom of a drawer. I hope someone will give them a good home!

There was a time when I thought my graphic novel collection was the one thing I would pass down to my children. Then the library finally started stocking them and I grew out of many of my titles.

Yesterday when I was looking through my bookshelf I thought about what it would really mean to hold on to something for possible offspring. I would be keeping books I'm probably never going to read again in my possession for fifteen plus years just in case my teenage love for comics was genetic. These ones are not even sentimental. It's time to let them go.

The pretty fabric has saved this dress in the past but not today!

This cheongsam was bought at an anime convention 6 years ago and I have not worn it since. Back then I would occasionally succumb to buying something I thought was pretty even if it did not fit me and that was the case here. I have since learned that wearing clothes that fit is the most important element of dressing well and I am a much more cautious shopper.

I loved this device until I finally obtained a smartphone. It doesn't do the internet but it is a pretty good organizer with a decent selection of time-killing games. I spent hours weeding out the crappier recipes that came with PDACookbook and adding my own, which is probably why I've held on to it for so long.

Software includes Hearts, PDACookbook, TopSudoku, and Vexed.

Day 1: Assorted Ear Plugs

When I moved to the Pike/Pine corridor it took me months to learn how to sleep to the constant sounds of drunken revelers outside my apartment. Earplugs seemed like a plausible solution but I've never found a pair I've liked so this assorted pack seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately I dislike earplugs much more than I realized and I gave up after four pairs.

This trial pack of earplugs included two individually packaged pairs each of twenty eight different foam earplugs. Varieties include "Camo," "Nitro," "Nascar," and "Tattoo."
