I bought this book while I was studying Japanese at the University of Washington. I wanted to learn Japanese so I could read the original versions of manga. Kids these days don't know how good they have it. Back when I was an anime geek, manga was mirrored to read left to right, they were released at a rate of one to two volumes a year, the translations were poor, the selection was miniscule, and titles such as Ranma 1/2 costed $17-19 a volume. I collected Ranma 1/2 for more than five years before giving up and the translations hadn't gotten anywhere close to the end.
